A. Competence Standard
Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks lisan fungsional dan monolog pendek sederhana berbentuk recount, dan narrative untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar.
B. Basic Competence
Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks lisan fungsional pendek sederhana dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa lisan secara akurat, lancar dan berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar
C. Indicator
- The students are able to retell the story orally and analyze the grammatical content in the story
- The students are able to answer the question related to the story
- Instructional Material
- The crow who wanted to be a peacock story.
- Instructional Technique : Snowball throwing technique
- Instructional procedures
- Pre activities
- Ask the students about their most interesting story.
- Tell the students about teacher’s own interesting story.
- Introduce the story that will be given to the students.
- Explain the form of activities will be conducted in the class.
- Whilst activities.
- Devide class into three groups.
- Instruct to each group to choose the chief in their group. The duty of the chief is to control their group member and be a delegator.
- Ask to the chief to meet the teacher to get explanation about the material. Teacher should make sure that the delegator was understood about the material. Because the next responsible of the chief is explaining the material to the other member of his/her group.
- The chief back to his/her group. And explain the material which has been given from teacher to their group.
- Teacher instructs to write down one question in a piece of paper for each student. Then, make the paper like a ball (snowball).
- Teacher start to count and all of the students’ throw the paper snowball in the classroom.
- After ± 5/10 minutes the ball is thrown, students should get one snowball. And answer orally the question that has written in the paper randomize.
- Post activities
- Discuss the students’ mistakesin terms of their pronunciation, grammar, intonation, grammar, and content of the story.
- Ask the students’ difficulties during the teaching and learning process.

Able to speak although not fluently. Having many mistakes in grammar and diction. Understandable for the listener, although having some mistakes in pronunciation. Content is in line with the topic. |

Not be able to speak fluently, lack of vacabulary, having mistakes in pronunciation, intonation, and stess which are use, those the liestener must highly concentrate to avoid misundestanding. Content and the generic structure out of from the topic. |

Can not speak and communiactaion totally, having mistakes in using grammar and diction, content and stucture are not related with the topic. |
