A Health and Education Protocol was signed between Near East University and Libya
Former Libyan Health Minister and as a person responsible of educational issues; Dr. Abdal Rahman Ali Al-Kıssa and the founding rector of Near East University; Dr. Suat Günsel have signed a protocol on education and health.
Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Near East University; Mr. Adem Aköl and a member of the Board of Management of the Near East University hospital; Mr. Ahmet Savaşan were also present at the signing of the protocol.
Dr. Suat Günsel, the founding rector of Near East University, has emphasized the importance of being in collaboration with the Muslim public of Libya on health and educational issues.
Günsel added that the committee representing the government of Libya has made observations at the University and the hospital during their stay for two days and further stated that they had signed two separate protocols on two separate areas.
Dr.Abdal Rahman Ali Al-Kıssa, former Minister of Health of Libya and as a person responsible of educational issues, has proclaimed that the opportunities of education and health provided by the Near East University were at world standards and therefore, he felt sure to be at the right place, for his nation.
Al-Kıssa further added that they were returning home, after having completed their visits, observations and errands. He stated that they were to finish the necessary preparations before they send an official invitation to take the collaboration to an official dimension.
He also stated that there were a lot of steps to take together regarding the sharing opportunities and expressed how happy they were and included his thanks.
He concluded by stating that after the preparatory protocols, a committee from the Near East University and hospital will go to Libya, during the second week of April, to sign the health and education collaboration protocols, as a second step.
